2. Next, subtract a minimum of 1.00m from the length and width of the space. This will allow room for moving around and adding other furniture. You will need about 1.00m between the table and the walls for everyone to sit comfortably.

3. The resulting number is the maximum dimensions of the dining room table. For example, if a dining room is 10 feet by 8 feet, the resulting calculation is 6 feet by 4 feet. This is the largest table that can comfortably fit in this space.
